An independent directory for firearm training

We catalogue ranges, instructors and academies across the country so students can compare credentials before they hand over a card number.

Why we built this

Finding a permit class should take ten minutes. In practice a student opens six tabs, lands on two dead phone numbers, one class calendar that stopped updating in 2021, and a forum thread arguing about a school that closed years ago. The information exists, but nobody keeps it in one place or keeps it current.

Credentials are the harder problem. An instructor page can say almost anything, and most students have no practical way to tell an active certification from an expired one, or a genuine range safety qualification from a phrase copied off a competitor’s site. That gap is where money gets wasted and, occasionally, where people get taught badly.

So we built a directory that does the checking first. Every provider we publish has had its stated credentials reviewed against the organization that issued them, its contact details confirmed, and its listing dated so you can see how fresh it is. Search by state, pick a training level, read what other students said, then call the provider directly.

Where our role ends

A listing on this site is a record of what a provider reported and what we were able to confirm at the time. It is not an endorsement, and it is never a substitute for checking your own state’s requirements.

List your training business

Students search this directory by state and training level every day. A verified listing puts your class calendar in front of them at the moment they are deciding where to book.
