Evening classes finish at 19:00 so nobody is walking to their car late. Private sessions can be arranged outside these hours by request.
About Her Ground Firearms Education
Her Ground was started in 2019 by two instructors who kept meeting women who had been talked over in a mixed class and never came back. Every class here is womens-only and taught by female instructors, and the group is capped at six so nobody is waiting their turn or performing for an audience.
The introductory session assumes you have never touched a firearm. It starts at a table, not a firing line: how the thing works, how to check it is unloaded, how to carry it to the range. Only when you are ready do you shoot, and you can stop at any point without anyone making a thing of it.
From there, the permit course covers Georgia law and the practical handling required, and private lessons are available for anyone who would rather work one to one. We rent range time at a partner facility, so the fee covers the lane and the loaner firearm.
