This is a starting point, not legal advice. It was written to describe how this site actually behaves, so it is accurate about the software. Have a lawyer read it before you rely on it, and edit this page freely - the plugin never overwrites it.
What this site collects, why, and how long it keeps it.
If you only browse
We count page views and clicks per listing so business owners can see how their page is doing. Those are totals - a number per listing per day - and they are not tied to you.
If you contact a business
- We store your name, your email address, your message, and a one-way fingerprint of your network address to stop the form being abused.
- The business never sees your email address. Replies come back through us.
If you have an account
Your email address, your display name, and whatever you choose to put in your profile. If you list a business, everything you enter about that business is published - that is the point of it.
Identity documents
- Applying for verification, or claiming a listing, means sending us a document that identifies you.
- Those files go to a private folder outside the public media library. They are not indexed, not linkable, and not reachable without an administrator session.
- We record which member of staff opened one, and when.
- They are deleted automatically once the decision they were sent for has been made.
Payments
Card details are handled entirely by our payment provider and never reach this site. We store only the identifiers we need to know which plan you are on.
Who else sees any of this
Nobody we do not have to tell. We do not sell anything about you. Maps and, where the site owner has switched it on, place lookup are provided by third parties, and using those features sends them the request needed to answer it.
Getting it back or getting rid of it
Deleting your account from your dashboard removes it and your correspondence. Ask us and we will tell you what we hold about you.
